Building Your Birth Vision is a simple guide to help you explore your options, share your hopes, and start meaningful conversations with your care team. Think of it as a map for your birth journey, not a rigid plan, but a tool to prepare while staying flexible when things change. Text a Doula (225) 424-7532

Quick questions? Need to talk it out?

“Text a Doula” is a free and simple way to connect with a trained Mary’s Hands Network staff doula. Whether you’re pregnant, recently gave birth, or just need someone to walk with you through this season—you can send us a message and get real answers from a real person who cares.

This service is perfect for:

  • Moms due soon who don’t have time to go through the full MHN intake process
  • Quick questions about pregnancy, postpartum, newborn care, breastfeeding, or emotional wellness
  • Help finding resources like WIC, Medicaid, housing, diapers, or mental health support

How to Use the Text Line

  • Text your question or concern any time
  • A staff doula will respond within 24 hours (usually much sooner during business hours).
  • We can answer questions, help you find resources, and even schedule a virtual visit if you want to talk more
  • You can ask follow-up questions or just check in. We’re here to support you.

What Not to Text

We’re here to support, not replace emergency care or long-term clinical services. Text a Doula is NOT for:

  • Emergencies – Call 911 or your nearest hospital
  • Medical diagnoses or prescriptions. We can offer support and information, but not medical advice.
  • Inappropriate, abusive, or spam messages.
