16-Week Paid Doula Apprenticeship Program
An intensive mentorship experience for Mary's Hands Network volunteer doulas ready to deepen their skills and serve families at an advanced level.
We are excited to announce that we will be accepting our first cohort of Doula Associates in Spring 2026 from our current pool of active Mary's Hands Network volunteer doulas.
Applications will open exclusively to volunteers who have completed at least one full year of service and are in good standing with the organization.
The Bouquet represents our commitment to building an apprenticeship model of servant leadership and care. Named for the way individual flowers come together to create something beautiful and complete, this intensive 16-week program is designed to cultivate the next generation of doula leaders within Mary's Hands Network.
This is not a casual opportunity. The Bouquet features a rigorous application and strict onboarding process because we are investing deeply in developing the skilled, visionary leaders who will shape the future of our organization and the birth work community in Louisiana.
Selected Doula Associates receive a paid stipend while serving Mary's Hands Network clients, participating in intensive coursework, completing clinical requirements, and building the advanced skills necessary for leadership in birth work.
We believe the strongest doula leaders are cultivated through rigorous training, real-world experience, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning. This apprenticeship goes beyond teaching doula skills, we are forming the leaders who will mentor future doulas, advocate for systemic change, and carry forward Mary's Hands Network's mission of servant leadership and community care.
